| If you're feeling stressed with your fast-paced lifestyle, there's a great idea floating about. Floatation therapy dates back to 1950 in America. Two neurophysiologists started to explore the idea of what would happen if the brain had no stimuli - like touch, sound and light. It took until 1970 to perfect the idea. The first tank was designed in such a way that the person floating was suspended upright and had a complete underwater breathing apparatus!
TOTAL CALM
Over the next 20 years, the whole system was refined so that the skin temperature of 93.5 Fahrenheit could be retained and that Epsom salts would allow for horizontal floatation in about one and a half feet of water. It promotes total calm, as one hour in the tank is equal to eight hours asleep.
FATIGUE
It has been known to alleviate jet lag, fatigue, mental and/or physical stress, as well as just rejuvenating and revitalising.
It removes stress hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline.
The good news is that floating can help create mental clarity, alertness and increased creativity.
It helps problem solving, expands awareness, and is successfully used for auto suggestion, for example in learning foreign languages.
Experts discovered that regular floating helps combat depression and fight anxiety and fear.
It boosts motivation, confidence and performance and is used in facilitating rehabilitation from alcoholism, drug addiction, eating disorders and phobias.
It is known by many athletes that taking a regular float helps them in their performance, and helps prevent sports injuries. It is also known to speed up healing.
It also relieves arthritis, migraines, backaches, injuries, muscle strain and over exertion by releasing endorphins ( the body's own natural painkillers).
Floating also increases circulation and distribution of oxygen and nutrients; reduces blood pressure, pulse, and heart rate; and is also helpful with PMS.
Should you decide to go for a float, you'll find that the water is like silk. When you are finished and have a shower, your skin and hair remains as soft as a baby's for the following few days. |

Reiki, a natural hands-on healing process has become very popular over recent years, yet is still unknown to many. The therapeutic benefits of Reiki are at this stage undisputed. Regular sessions of Reiki will return the individual to their original self and who they were meant to be before life and its stresses got in the way. Reiki re-balances, re-stores, re-energises and re-vitalises. It clears us of all that is stagnant in mind, body and spirit. The more Reiki spreads throughout the world the greater the chance that humanity will learn to live in harmony and peace once and for all.
Past Life Hypnotherapy utilises the hypnotic procedure to regress a subject past the womb stage and into a previous lifetime. Often the cause of many problems we have such as phobias, chronic health conditions, relationship issues etc cannot be traced back to an earlier time in life. However, they may have their root or origin in a previous life. Unresolved past life issues are often carried forward into future incarnations where they have an effect on the person’s current life without them being consciously aware of it. In past life therapy the origin of these issues are explored and released. New insight and understanding is arrived at. Manifested symptoms of these issues generally resolve themselves naturally as a result.
After over ten years of studying and reading the Tarot it never ceases to amaze me what a wonderful self-development tool the Tarot is. It opens the door to our inner-self and reminds us of our spiritual purpose in this life.
My students are often astonished by the transformation in their lives once they open themselves to learning the Tarot. They have reported feeling better about themselves, more connected to life, the world and more tolerant of others. They claim that their relationships have improved and that they have become less judgmental.
They also are amazed by the rapid development of their psychic development and their spiritual sight.
Courses are relaxed and fun and numbers kept to a minimum. Tarot is also available in workshop format. I also teach courses and workshops in Psychic Development, Pendulum Dowsing and Crystals. I am available to travel anywhere in the country to teach the above workshops.
